Hoa Lu - Thung Nang - Tam Coc

Duration: 1 days / 0 night
Itinerary: Hanoi - Ninh Binh
Price : $45
Tam Coc is an awesome site of giant limestone karts formations jutting out of the rice paddies that surround the Ngo Dong River. It is often labeled "The Halong Bay of the Rice Paddies".

Hoa Lu is very close to Tam Coc, it is the relic of the ancient capital Hoa Lu - the remains are the temples dedicated to King Dinh and King Le, the two heroes who lived in 10th century and chose Hoa Lu to build the citadel of the capital city.

Departure at 7:00AM from your hotel to reach Tam Coc after 2,5 hours, then cycling 15 minutes on a country road takes you to Thung Nang, a small dock, for rowing 1 hour on sampan boat in the heart of “Inland Ha Long Bay”. Take in the beauty of the karts formations as you pass along their base and row into one of the many caves carved through the limestone. Stop for a short rest near a small shrine before returning to the boat and making your way back to the dock (1 hour).  Cycle back to Tam Coc village for lunch. Then transfer to Hoa Lu to  visit the historic capital of Viet Nam and the famous ancient temples of the Dinh and Le Dynasties. Transfer back to Ha Noi around 6:00PM. The trip ends.
